Platform Fees

Bracket Breeze charges $0.50 per player per event. The fee is computed from the format size of each team, not the actual head count on the roster. That keeps the math obvious — knowing the team played a quads bracket is enough to know the line is $2.00.

• Doubles → $1.00 per team
• Triples → $1.50 per team
• Quads → $2.00 per team
• Sixes → $3.00 per team

Every non-cancelled, non-withdrawn team on the event is billed. Teams that no-showed are still on the invoice — handle no-shows by entering 21-0 scores when you publish results, not by removing the team.

1. You publish results. Once every match in the event has a score, the "Publish Results" button lights up on the event manager. Publishing reveals the public podium page and simultaneously creates your invoice.
2. 7-day review window. The invoice sits in pending review for seven days. You can approve early to charge immediately, or open a dispute if something looks off.
3. Auto-charge at day 7. If you take no action, the invoice auto-approves at the deadline and we charge the card on file. You'll always get a reminder email at day 3 and again 24 hours before the auto-charge.

If the invoice is wrong — a team that withdrew got billed, a division was double-counted, etc. — open a dispute from the Billing tab on the event. The auto-charge timer pauses while we review.

Our team reviews every dispute and replies with one of four outcomes:

• Upheld — we agree; full credit, no charge.
• Comped — we're waiving this one as a courtesy; no charge.
• Partial credit — we apply a credit, you approve the reduced amount through the normal flow.
• Rejected — we don't agree; the invoice resumes the normal review window at the original amount.

If your card declines, we'll retry over the next several days and email you each time. To stop the retries, update your billing method from Settings → Financial.

After four consecutive failed attempts, the auto-retry stops and a platform admin reaches out. Your data, events, and registrations stay live the entire time — Bracket Breeze never holds an event hostage over an unpaid invoice.

Demo organizations (the kind we use during sales walkthroughs) go through the entire publish → invoice → approve flow without any real money moving. Demo invoices are clearly labeled in the UI and on every email.
